Clover and Ace are the best of friends. They
lived in the same home for the past couple years and are quite a funny
pair! Unfortunately, they killed over 200 chickens and the owners said
that they had to go, ASAP. They joined our group that day and we updated
all of their vet work, including the spay/neuter surgeries, all
vaccinations, heartworm check and microchipping. It would be wonderful if
these two friendly kids could be adopted out together, but we realize that
this may be difficult. We will place them separately, but would give
priority to any family who would be willing to adopt the two of them, and
allow them to live out their lives together.
ACE:
 Hi
there! My name is Ace and I'm a bird dog mix of some kind. I'm sort of
like a small Pointer (around 30 lbs or so), mixed with who knows what! My
best friend "Clover" and I (she's like my sister) were kicked out of our
previous family because we killed some chickens. How were we supposed to
know to leave them alone? Heck, we ARE dogs!
Anyway,
because we killed the chickens, our family said we had to go. Now we are
looking for a new home with the help of Happy Dogs Rescue. We'd really
like to stay together if possible but we know that we might have to be
separated, so that would be OK too. We just want a really great family who
will love us forever and treat us like the special and wonderful dogs we
are.
 My
new rescue friends had me neutered, heartworm tested (I was negative!) and
got all my shots current. I also have a cool microchip now. I'm about 3
years old and I'm really just a nice-sized lap dog. I love being with
people and I'm very smart too. I know how to "sit" and I walk pretty good
on a leash. I seem housetrained (I love air conditioning!) and I'm good
with other dogs. I definitely need a home without any chickens, unless
it's "KFC" and you're taking me through the drive-thru!
Clover has been adopted!
CLOVER:
 My
name is Clover and I'm a Basset Hound! Or maybe a Basset mix, I'm really
not 100% sure! I do look a lot like a Basset with my short thick legs and
my long body, and my ears are pretty darn big too! My buddy "Ace" and I
(he's like my brother) were kicked out of our previous family because we
killed some chickens. How were we supposed to know to leave them alone?
