Adopted!

We have four fabulous Great Pyrenees / Yellow Lab MIX female puppies available for adoption. Beautiful and precious, these "polar pups" (like baby polar bears) are too sweet.

We know that their mother was a 90-100 lb Yellow Lab (very large!) and the father was a 160 lb Great Pyr. These lovely girls will definitely be very large, or "giant" when full grown. When they came to us at the age of 12 weeks, they were not well socialized. Unfortunately, they had been living outside with inadequate human interaction, so they were all somewhat fearful and shy. They have come around quickly with our rescue and volunteers, but are still more reserved when they first meet new people. The window for socialization is not fully "closed," and these girls can and surely will do well in a patient, dog-savvy home. They LOVE other dogs and would probably do best in new homes with at least one other dog to buddy around with.

Labradors are long-known as great family dogs, very friendly and usually quite energetic. The Great Pyr is a "gentle giant" dog, perhaps bringing a calmer side to this particular mix. Either way the genetics play out, these girls will be large, perhaps 100 lbs (or more) when full grown, and they will have coats that tend to shed.

Hailey is one of the more outgoing of the sisters; she was the first to comearound and get on our laps, investigate us and interact with us as her new human "family," etc. The puppy adoption fee is $150, plus a $50 spay deposit. Because of their (large breed) breed mix, they are to be spayed at 6 months of age, to allow for more growth and physical maturity before the surgery. Each sister will be current on vaccinations for their age, wormed, on monthly heartworm prevention and microchipped before going to their new homes.
