Liesel is a lovely purebred female German Shepherd. Some call her
coloring "silver sable" and she truly a beautiful girl! She was born
on Superbowl Sunday of February 2008.
Liesel was adopted at the age of 12 weeks but was returned to us
after 2 years. She knows many obedience commands, including "sit,"
"down," "shake," "belly rub," "stay," and more... she is clearly very
smart! But we've noticed that she is uneasy in many social situations
and she's behaved in a nervous or hesitant manner. In some cases,
other dogs provoke this nervous behavior and in other cases, it's
children or adults. We are working with her and taking things slowly.
Her whole world was turned upside down and we give her credit for
doing as well as she has!
We're looking for a very dog-experienced home for Liesel, with
someone who has owned large breed dogs before. Her *ideal* future
owners will have had experience with the GSD breed. She is a young
adult and in excellent health. Liesel likes to play and romp hard in
the yard and go on leash-walks, but she also likes to lay on the
couch and watch a movie. Air-conditioning is her friend this time of
year and she loves to be right "with" her people.
Kansas City "metro" area only, sorry, and we do require a fully fenced yard.
