Linus

Lindsay
Puppy Mills, Labradoodles, and Rescue!

Lindsay is a sweet but shy Labrador/Poodle mixed breed girl who came from a horrible puppy mill. Having lived the first part of his life in a cage 24/7, including the key early months without ANY socialization, it's no surprise that she has some issues and fears as an adult. Still, this girl has a heart of gold and she does have a lot to offer the right family. She's sweet and smart underneath that fearful exterior.

Lindsay weighs about 50 lbs. and she's a beautiful wiry/curly-coated lady. Please don't believe what some (breeders) put in the media about this mixed-breed of dog being "hypo-allergenic." These dogs shed and they shed a lot, every day, year-round. Fortunately, a good brushing helps take care of this loose fur and Lindsay really enjoys being brushed, so it's no problem for her! But she most definitely does shed and would not be good for humans who are allergic to dogs, or for those who prefer a very neat or fur-free household.

Lindsay is active and playful with other dogs and she would do best in a home with her brother (Linus) or with other dogs to buddy around with. She is definitely a "dog's dog" and really needs that canine company! Her very shy demeanor makes it difficult for her to enjoy meeting new people, but with patient, quiet and dog-loving folks, she does eventually come around. She's a smart girl who can learn to trust, but it will take some serious time and commitment. She's looking for a home that has experience with dogs and especially with shy and fearful dogs. A very securely fenced yard is a must for safe outdoor exercise/potty time. We were told that her date of birth was March 2004.

The adoption fee of $100 includes the neuter, current vaccinations and wormings; he's also on HW prevention and microchipped.

Fenced yard required, no exceptions. THANK YOU!
