Jigsaw is a
female and is currently available for adoption. If you are
interested in adoption, please
contact us.
We rescued
11 puppies in June 2006; they are from ONE litter and are
mixed-breed puppies who will be large to "giant" in size, when
full grown. We believe they are a MIX of Newfoundland, St.
Bernard, Lab, Pointer and ??? Some of the pups are already
bigger than others, but we estimate them all to be at least
"large" dogs when grown. It is likely that the litter actually
had two fathers, explaining the different sizes and colors.
There are 6 males and 5 females. You can meet them at our Petco
adoption event on July 2 in Lee's Summit, from 12-4pm. The
puppies will not be ready to move to their new homes until July
16th, after they have been spayed/neutered (they will be approx.
9 weeks old at that time.)
These pups will come to you "fully loaded!" The adoption fee of
$150 includes the spay/neuter surgery, puppy vaccinations,
worming, flea/tick treatment, started on monthly heartworm
prevention, and AVID microchip.
PLEASE READ - PUPPY ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
* no apartment adoptions; must live in a house (rentals OK as
long as we have landlord approval)
* fully fenced yard required (no invisible underground fence
accepted)
* all current pets must be spayed/neutered
* home check and vet reference are required before approval of
application
* Kansas City "metro" area adoptions only, or within ~45 miles
of KC so that we can do your home visit
* no children in the home under age 5
Please understand that these babies have already had a rough
time in their short lives... they were discarded in a "dump bin"
outside a rural county animal shelter in the wee morning hours
of Sunday, June 18th. They had probably received no vet care
prior to this and likely had been ignored or simply stuck
outside in the heat and humidity. The shelter asked for help and
we were able to accept these precious babies into our rescue
program. They are now counting on US to place them in
well-matched, prepared homes who WILL be committed to them for
the rest of their lives (which could be 10-12 years). Please
email us for an adoption application or if you have questions
about these pups. THANK YOU!
Kansas City
"metro" area adoption only, please. Fully fenced yard required,
no exceptions. |
